Okay, so I don’t expect all of my patients to start eating tofu and rice just because I say so. But in a recent survey of 153,000 US adults, only a whopping 3% follow the four.
“Healthy Lifestyle Characteristics” used in this study: no smoking, 5+ fruits and veggies/day, health BMI and exercise 30 mins 5X/week. 3%. And these recommendations are basic!! No wonder the health of this country continues to decline and we are now looking at a reduction in the life expectancy (something I have been predicting for several years now).
