Trial of falls prevention among older people living in their own homes
I see a lot of seniors in my office and I always strongly push exercise. For some patients with apparent balance problems, I push towards tai-chi classes and/or videos. This is a very safe and effective way to restore some balance to our senior population. Remember that falls in the elderly can be severe, leading to fractures, head trauma and hip replacements.
