Of course, as a chiropractor, I have to comment on this article. Overall, while this is a small pilot study, the concept is not that hard to grasp. Some of the anterior neck muscles (notably the anterior scalenes) assist in respiration, so if there is some type of dysfunction that can affect the neck, it could very well affect breathing. Sounds like a good reason to visit your local chiropractor.
