In this study, it was the caffeine and not the coffee. If this research does get backed up by further studies, adding green tea may be a safer and healthier alternative to coffee.

  1. The study showed consistent decrease risk of developing Parkinson’s Disease in people drinking up to 28 oz of coffee a day. What would happen if a person was drinking twice that? Have you seen any other studies with participants drinking more than 28 oz?

    Follow up question, would the benefits of caffeine be diminished with weekly consumption of doughnuts with morning coffee?

    While I don’t recall coming across any specific articles where doughnuts negated the positive effect of coffee, I likewise don’t recall any studies looking at whether a parachute was a good idea when skydiving. Some research we just don’t need to spend money on.
