Exercise training and the antioxidant lipoic acid in the treatment of insulin resistance and type 2 diabetes

I have always said that no intervention for any chronic disease will be as effective without the addition of exercise to the therapeutic approach.

This article adds additional weight to this recommendation by finding that giving alpha lipoic acid along with exercise leads to a synergistic effect on improving insulin resistance.
