Dietary Energy Intake at the Age of 4 Months Predicts Postnatal Weight Gain and Childhood Body Mass Index

Despite the incalculable number of studies supporting the superiority of breast milk, the number of moms that remain breastfeeding after 3 months is still a very small percentage. You can be sure that this all-too-soon introduction of non-mom foods is a definite contributor to our rates of chronic diseases.

I strongly recommend to my patients that a newborn should be exclusively breastfed for 6 months. No grains or other solid foods in the first 6 months will give the immune system some time to develop properly.
